The Benedict College B.E.S.T. Lives Center (BLC) Re-entry Program has demonstrated significant positive impact. The BLC provides critical support, connection, and accountability for individuals returning to society after incarceration. The community offers a sense of belonging and acceptance, which can foster hope, motivation, and resilience.
Through various workshops such as career exploration, resume assistance, interview skills training, programming, and community engagement, participants are better equipped to overcome challenges such as securing employment, finding housing, and rebuilding relationships. Additionally, active community involvement helps create a more inclusive environment, reduces stigma, and opens pathways to success.
The BLC program plays a vital role in reducing recidivism and supporting sustainable, long-term reintegration into society.
